A Day In The Life At Zensor...

Where we like to highlight our employees adventures, successes and challenges

      · ZensorLife

      March 2020

For the month of March, we followed our colleague Floris, from Brussels to Maasvlakte, where he supervised a team of 4 technicians through a technical installation on a wind turbine TP structure, that will be a part of the Borssele wind farm.

The preparation phase started from our workshop in Brussels. From designing the installation, to purchasing materials and then testing - it is important we take the time to source the best materials so that our installations can successfully monitor the structure throughout its entire life.

For this specific installation we chose to use a Belzona product to fix our sensors to the structure, and as you know, it is very important to test products in-house before applying it to a real life situation - especially if it has to last 25 years.

After testing we run through an extensive checklist, pack the van and head to the location.

The Covid-19 pandemic has definitely put a spanner in the works for a lot of companies and people around the world and it is vital that we stay safe during these times. Luckily, we were able to get full support from our client to deem our installation work as 'essential', which allowed Floris to safely cross the border for work purposes - for that we are truly grateful!

Arriving at the accommodation, Floris ensured that his temporary work space was corona-clean.

And for the next 5 days, he spent half of his time at his new clean workspace and the other half sky high in a cherry picker supervising (from a far) 4 subcontractors through the technical installation.

So, a big thanks to Floris for his dedication through the month of March, while he was working safely on site in a new location, the rest of us were working from the comfort of our homes.

Stay tuned for our April edition, see you then!
