Next week we'll participate in this year's edition of the AIST Crane Symposium.
In the mean time this has evolved into thé annual gathering of all specialists related to cranes (overhead cranes, portal cranes, automated warehouses...) in the US Steel industry.
As part of the program, our CEO Yves Van Ingelgem will deliver a talk on one of the topics that often arises when considering health monitoring of cranes: "Overhead Crane Monitoring: How to Deal With Potential Interface Between Multiple Cranes on the Same Runway".
Interference is seen as a factor that affects the way health of components like drive trains and hoists is evaluated, but also data collection related to structurel integrity. We'll be sharing some of our experiences and observations related to these aspects.
The symposium is a great opporuntity to meet up with other specialists in this domain and stay informed about the state-of-the-art in all crane-related topics.
